The question we hear most
"Will it hurt?"
No. Treatments are carried out under local anaesthetic and no pain is felt. It becomes tender only during an acute infection, because that interferes with the anaesthetic. In that case the infection is treated first.
-
The consultation
An examination and an explanation of your options. Free and with no obligation.
-
The anaesthetic
It is given so that even the injection is barely noticeable. Nothing begins until the area is completely numb.
-
The treatment
Placing an implant takes about fifteen minutes. You feel pressure, not pain.
-
Afterwards
Written aftercare instructions, a check-up appointment, and the clinic's number for any question.
Equipment

Visiting from abroad
The treatment is planned before you arrive
Through the summer months more than half the patients come from abroad. So appointments are given priority and the treatment plan is prepared in advance, which means your time in Kosovo goes into the treatment rather than into waiting. Albanian, German and English are spoken at the clinic.
- Treatment plan before you travel, based on your X-ray
- Appointments grouped inside the days you have available
- Explanations and treatment in English or German
- A check-up after you return, if it is needed
Questions and answers
What people ask most often
Does placing an implant hurt?
No. The treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic and you feel no pain. It can become tender only during an acute infection, because the infection chemically interferes with the anaesthetic. In that case the infection is treated first.
What guarantee is there on the work?
Crowns and bridges carry a five-year guarantee, fillings two years. The work follows clinical standards and uses certified materials.
How long does placing an implant take?
The procedure itself takes about fifteen minutes. The final crown follows after three to four months, once the implant has fully integrated into the bone.
I am only in the country for two weeks. Can treatment be planned?
Yes, and the clinic is set up for exactly that. The treatment plan can be drawn up from an X-ray before you arrive, appointments are grouped together, and the part that needs time is placed on your next visit.
Which languages are spoken at the clinic?
Albanian, German and English. Dr. Shehu worked in two German dental practices between 2015 and 2018, so the treatment and the explanations can be in German if you prefer.
Is the first consultation charged for?
No. The consultation and the first check-up are free. They cover the examination, an explanation of your options and a treatment plan. An X-ray is not part of the free consultation.
How are the instruments sterilised?
In a class B autoclave, which removes the air before the cycle with a fractionated vacuum and so fully reaches packaged instruments and narrow cavities. Every instrument is sealed individually and carries an indicator that changes colour once the cycle has completed. The pouch is opened in front of you at the chair. Needles, gloves, masks and cups are single use.
